Winchester Police investigate boutique robbery

WINCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Winchester Police are searching for a suspect that was involved in a boutique robbery on Tuesday.

Winchester Police received a report Tuesday morning of a robbery at the Time & Again Boutique on Main Street in Winsted.

Witnesses say the suspect entered the shop around 11:55 a.m., demanding cash from the register and the store owner’s purse.

A small amount of money was taken, but police say there were no weapons involved.

Witnesses told police they saw the burglar take off on foot, but did not see him get into a car with anyone.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, about 5’8″ tall, and was wearing a gray sweatshirt and a piece of red clothing across his face during the crime.
