BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)- A Connecticut State Police officer is recovering after rolling his cruiser during the rainy weather on Wednesday. State police say trooper Matthew Losh was driving on Route 25 North in Bridgeport, near Exit 5, when he lost control because of the wet roads.

State police say when Trooper Losh lost control he veered into the median, struck the guardrail and then rolled over a number of times, before finally stopping. The cruiser finally stopped on its roof, partially in the shoulder and left lane of traffic.

According to state police, Trooper Losh suffered small cuts to his hand, and was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital. Trooper Losh was released shortly after.
