Search underway at New Hampshire property owned by Nathan Carman’s grandfather

(WTNH)–A search at a New Hampshire property could solve the murder of a man whose family is at the center of a mystery at sea. The FBI and other agencies searched property owned by John Chakalos, who was found shot to death at his home back in 2013.

A New Hampshire newspaper reports that at least a dozen people in hazmat suits were on the property on Thursday.

Chakalos’ grandson, Nathan Carman, was a suspect in the murder, but no one was ever arrested for the crime. Back in September, Carman’s mother Linda disappeared while they were on a fishing trip together.

She was never found and is presumed dead.

Carman’s home was searched in connection with her disappearance. No arrests have been made in that case either.
