First comes the cold then the snow to mix Sunday night-Monday!
A rather weak storm system will roll our way from around the Chicago area and spread some snow our way Sunday night and Monday morning. The changeover does seem a bit faster now and this will keep amounts lower. Mild air will push temps to near 40° Monday afternoon.

Timing: Flurries possible during the afternoon – sunset Sunday. Light snow developing 8PM-2AM with a dusting likely statewide. It will get a bit heavier through daybreak Monday before starting to mix with sleet and rain at the shoreline around 8AM. The mix and changeover will take longer inland.
Impact: The Monday morning commute will likely have some snow or a mix in progress. I do expect at least school delays at this point.
Ending: During the afternoon with rain showers and temperatures above freezing across the state.
How much? It is too early at this point for specifics. Lowest totals near LI Sound. 1″ to 3″ seems likely with this scenario with the potential for a little more north of a Waterbury – Hartford – Putnam line.
Another system may threaten our area with a mix or rain to mix again on Wednesday.
