Ask the Lawyer: Winter weather responsibilities

(WTNH)–On this edition of “Ask the Lawyer,” we spoke with New Haven attorney Tara Knight about some of your legal responsibilities as we head into winter. We discussed homeowners, and whose responsibility it is to clear a sidewalk filled with snow.

What happens if someone slips and falls on that sidewalk? What about when you’re in your car? If you skid off an unplowed road. Are you responsible? Or is it the municipality who is in charge of clearing those roads?

It’s also important to clear your car of ice and snow. What happens if you don’t do that?

All of these topics and more were discussed in the latest edition of “Ask the Lawyer.” Check it out in the video above.
