Greenwich man arrested on drug charges

GREENWICH Conn. (WTNH) — A 39-year-old man was arrested after Greenwich Police say he had packaged drugs he planned on selling.

Greenwich Police say just after 6:30p.m. they were at the CVS on West Putnam Avenue when they smelled marijuana after a Charles Walters walked past them. Police say they followed him to his car before Walters was questioned about the drugs. Police say they found a bag of marijuana in his car and several bags of fruit snacks laced with THC.

Walters is facing multiple charges including possession of marijuana. He was released on bond and is due in Stamford court on Friday December 16.
