Just before 12 noon Monday, Rocky Hill police identified the victims of the fire as 58-year-old Thomas Munger, and 49-year-old Veronica Cossio-Munger, both of Rocky Hill.
Original Story: Two dead after home fire in Rocky Hill
At 3:14 a.m. Saturday, Rocky Hill first responders were dispatched to 65 Walnut Road on reports of a house fire. On arrival, police officers found the west side of the home on fire.
Rocky Hill firefighters arrived a moment later, and quickly extinguished the fire, according to police. It was during the initial search and rescue that firefighters found the bodies of Thomas and Veronica Munger in separate rooms.
The Building Inspector for the Town of Rocky Hill has condemned the building due to severe structural damage. The Rocky Hill Fire Marshal, the Connecticut State Police Fire Marshal’s Office, and Detectives from the Rocky Hill Police Department are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
