Snow covered back roads cause many school delays

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– Snow, rain and freezing temperatures could create a dangerous combination as people head back to work or school this messy Monday morning.

While main roads seem clear for the most part, it’s the back roads and side roads in some towns like Waterbury that are covered in snow.  Some schools are being delayed so plows can get to these back roads to make it safer for drivers.

The temperature is above freezing, but the glaze on the ground will cause slick conditions.
