Road reopens after massive water main break in Milford

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A road in Milford is back open after a massive water main break on Sunday night.

A water main break caused not only a mess but a geyser.

According to Milford Police Department, it happened on Helwig Street, near the harbor.

Officers asked motorists to avoid Factory Lane and High Street south of Broad Street.

The Regional Water Authority responded to the scene and the road is now safe for drivers.
