What’s Brewing: CT Style night, Dad bod, and new vegetable study

(WTNH)- Dunkin kicked off summer in the Dunkin Donuts Music Lounge at iHeart Radio earlier this week. Their new social media campaign is called #CTCool and its all about cool people doing cool things in Connecticut with their Dunkin’ Donuts cold beverages.People at the event were able to sample Dunkin’s new Nitro coffee, which is Cold Brew coffee infused with nitrogen!

According to a new survey, 69% of women think a “dad bod” is sexy and 63% prefer a dad bod over a guy who’s in crazy good shape. The study defined “dad bod” as, quote, “relatively fit, but neither lean nor muscular.” 92% of married men with a dad bod said they’re happy with their marriage. 86% are happy with their life in general. And 61% said they’re proud of their body.

Parents, do you struggle to get your kids to eat their veggies? Well, decadent-sounding descriptions could get your kids to eat their greens! Stanford psychology scholars applied indulgent labeling; flavorful, exciting descriptions usually used for decadent foods to vegetables. Their study found that more people chose vegetables with these indulgent descriptions. Wouldn’t you pick “sweet sizzlin’ green beans and crispy shallots” over basic green beans?

Wednesday was CT Style Night at the Shubert Theatre. Special thanks to Fill the Frame Photo Booth for the awesome pictures!
