Injured hawk rescued in Hamden one step closer to taking flight again

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — An injured bird is one step closer to taking flight again after being rescued in Hamden.

Animal control officers got a call about the injured bird on Monday. It was found near Sherman Avenue.

An animal control officer took the bird to “A Place Called Hope” in  Killingworth.

We’re told the Red Tail Hawk’s health is improving.
