Eversource creates texting option for outages, updates

(WTNH) — Energy provider Eversource is making it easier to report and receive updates about power outages.

Eversource is adding a two-way texting option for customers. The company says they wanted to make it easier for customers to communicate, get updates and pass along information to family members.

To get the service, you need to register your mobile device on Eversource’s website.
