(WTNH)- The Connecticut Sun play their first playoff game since 2012 on Sunday at 3 P.M. at Mohegan Sun Arena. The team will host Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.
For every fan that attends the game on Sunday, the Connecticut Sun Foundation will donate $1 to the American Red Cross to help those devastated by the flooding in Texas caused by Hurricane Harvey. If the game sells out, meaning 9,323 fans fill the building, the Foundation will round up its donation to an even $10,000. The Red Cross will also be featured as the Community Spotlight for the game, and disaster relief volunteers will be accepting donations at a table on the Mohegan Sun Arena concourse.
Connecticut is the fourth seed and earned a first-round bye as a reward for finishing with the fourth best record in the WNBA 21-13.
