31 local communities holding primary elections Tuesday

(WTNH)– Thirty-one communities in our state are holding primary elections on Tuesday.

Local offices including mayors, first selectman and boards of education are all on the ballots, as well as probate judges.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and are open until 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Secretary of the State Denise Merrill  said the deadline to register to vote in the primary elections was Monday at Noon.

Voters can find their polling places online at http://myvote.ct.gov/lookup.
