Quinnipiac University named among “Best Colleges for Veterans”

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Quinnipiac University has been featured in a new ranking by U.S. News and & World Report for being veteran-friendly.

The ranking lists Quinnipiac as the top school in Connecticut and fifth in the North in the “Best Colleges for Veterans” category.

Jason Burke, director of veteran and military affairs at Quinnipiac, stated, “Quinnipiac University serves our student veterans with a holistic approach to ensure they can concentrate on being students. By reducing administrative issues, waiving certain fees, and providing on-campus counseling and tutoring services, as well as having a veterans’ lounge, our cadre has the best chance to succeed. It’s an honor to be recognized as a top school that cares for its warrior-scholars.”

The university was also ranked 13th in the “Regional Universities North” category and was named among the North’s “A+ Schools for B Students.”
