West Hartford Police investigate report of shots fired

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in West Hartford are investigating after they received reports that shots were fired on Tuesday.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., West Hartford police officers received reports that shots were fired in the parking lot of 80 Kane Street. According to police, witnesses reported the shooter fired at least one gunshot at the occupants of a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot.

Officers say the shooter and the intended victims fled the area in what were described as two black sedans before police arrived.

There are currently no known victims, police say.

The area was canvassed and detectives continue their investigation.
