10 people injured in bus crash in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — Ten people were injured in a bus crash in Greenwich on Wednesday morning.

Police say at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, an eastbound transit bus rear-ended a van stopped for a red light on East Putnam Avenue at the intersection with Sound Beach Avenue.

First responders say they responded quickly to the scene to assist with the injured and to make the scene safe. They say ten people were sent to area hospitals with minor injuries.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the investigation was ongoing. Officers say they are in the process of interviewing all of the involved people and witnesses.
