Route 101 closed in Killingly after tractor trailer hits pole

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH)– Route 101 is closed in Killingly after a tractor trailer truck crashed into a pole Thursday morning.

According to the Department of Transportation, Route 101 is closed between Upper Maple Road and Soap Street after a tractor tractor truck hit a utility pole just before 9 a.m.

State police say there were no injuries in the accident. The crash did, however, result in some power outages in Killingly but Eversource is on scene working to restore power.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. The road is expected to reopen in 12 hours or less.
