New Britain man arrested in March shooting of woman, 2 juveniles

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH)– An arrest was made Monday in the March shooting of a woman and two juveniles in New Britain.

Police say at around 6:30 a.m, 37-year-old Jermaine Tywane Scott, of New Britain, was taken into custody without incident by the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force at a home on Dove Lane in Middletown.

Scott was arrested on a warrant stemming from the March 28th domestic shooting incident that happened at a home on Newington Avenue in New Britain. A woman and two juveniles were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and the search then began for an armed and dangerous Scott.

Scott was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Use of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a High Capacity Magazine. He was held on a $2 million bond and will appear in court on Tuesday.
