Bridgeport man seriously in I-95 rollover

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– A Bridgeport man was seriously injured in a tractor trailer crash on I-95 Monday night.

State Police say at around 10:30 p.m., 54-year-old Jose Cupertino Lopez-siquiej was driving a Toyota Tacoma in the center lane of I-95 southbound when he attempted to travel into the right lane and struck a tractor trailer truck. The Toyota lost control and rolled over onto its roof before hitting the concrete barrier and rolling back on its four tires.

Lopez-siquiej was ejected from his vehicle and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital for treatment. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

I-95 southbound was closed at exit 27. The accident had occurred in a construction area that had closed the left and center lanes of I-95 southbound.
