(WTNH)-Kelsey Banfield whips up a family treat for fall.
(Makes 8 Waffles)
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons light brown super
1/2 teaspoons baking poder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, for serving
pure maple syrup, for serving
- Preheat and grease waffle iron. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until completely smooth. Fold in the flour mixture, stirring until just combine. The batter should be fairly runny.
- Cook the waffles according to manufacturer’s directions, using about 1/4 of the batter per waffle. The second a hot waffle comes off the iron, place it on a plate and sprinkle it with a few chocolate chips. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve!
