Barbara Walters on The View, April 4, 2014.

(WTNH) — A milestone for ABC News is being celebrated on Wednesday night.

20/20 has now been on the air for 40 years.

On Wednesday morning, anchors of the program were on The View talking about some of their favorite moments.

“The hour I did on The Wolfpack. The five boys who were raised in a New York City tenement,” explained Elizabeth Vargas“[They] never left the apartment all their childhood. Literally movies saved their lives. That was an incredible story.”

“The moment I have to talk about is the Pope,” stated David Muir. “Pope Francis. Getting the chance to connect him with American families. It was such an honor. Such an honor.”

Hugh Downs and Barbara Walters co-hosted 20/20 for 20 years.
