Police investigate after man shot in Berlin

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are investigating after a man was shot in Berlin on Tuesday night.

Police say at around 9:18 p.m., officers responded to the area of 313 Field Stone Crossing for the report of gunshots being fired.

Upon arrival, a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside a residence. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. However, his identity and current condition is unknown.

Detectives from the Central District Major Crime Squad have also responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact police at 860-706-5652 or text TIP711 and the information to 274637.
