NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — West Haven man arrested after ricocheted bullet strikes victim
According to police, on Sept. 17, officers were called to a home after a New Haven man stated he was struck by a ricocheted bullet two days earlier on Franklin Street.
Following an investigation, police determined Phillip Holmes Jr., 30, was the shooter.
Holmes Jr. is a convicted felon who is currently on federal probation for firearm-related crimes.
He was arrested on Tuesday and is facing charges of criminal attempt to commit assault in the first degree, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and other related charges.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
