Danbury man facing charges after alleged attempted robbery of ex-girlfriend

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Danbury man is facing numerous charges after police say he broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend and attempted to rob her and her boyfriend.

According to Stratford Police, officials were called to a home around 9 a.m. on Thursdays after learning of a home invasion.

Officials say Jeffrey Bispo and an accomplice entered the residence and attempted to rob Bispo’s ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.

Police say a neighbor intervened and allowed the victim to flee and call 911.

Authorities say Bispo was armed with a handgun and struck his ex-girlfriend in the neck and face with the weapon.

Bispo was later arrested and is facing several charges including Assault in the Second Degree, Larceny in the Sixth Degree and other related charges.
