One dead in Friday night Hartford shooting

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford Police are investigating the area of Durham Street, where one person was killed from gunfire on Friday night.

Deputy Chief Foley reported that police responded to a situation on Durham St in Hartford at approximately 7:10 on Friday evening. Upon arrival, officers found two victims inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to St. Francis Hospital, where one was reported dead from their wounds. The second victim was treated and released.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division, Crime Scene Division, and Inspector from the Hartford Chief States Attorney’s Office all responded to the scene and are currently investigating. Hartford Police are also investigating a quadruple shooting that occurred on Albany Ave after midnight early Saturday morning. Police have yet to say if the two incidents are connected.
