Cell phone stolen from unlocked car in Ansonia

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — Ansonia Police are looking for a suspect after a cell phone was stolen from an unlocked car in the city.

According to police, the car was parked at the Main Street Shell station while the owner was inside.

Officials say the occupants of a brown Nissan Altima entered the victim’s car and stole his phone from the vehicle.

Police say the Nissan was later seen at the Cumberland Farms on Pershing Drive but fled the scene when officers arrived.

The Ansonia Police Department reminds residents to lock their cars and to never leave their cars running and unattended.
