HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A Hartford man was arrested after two men were injured by gunfire during an attempted robbery on Sunday evening.

Police say just before 6:30 p.m., officers responded to 43-45 Standish Street for reports of multiple people hurt by gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located three victims suffering from gunshot related injuries. A crime scene was then established.

An investigation later revealed that the three people knew each other and that one of the men used a handgun to attempt to rob the other two men. A struggle for the gun then ensued and during the struggle, two of men sustained gunshot wounds to their arms. The third man injured his fingers.

Police say the man with the gun was then thrown from the home through a front porch window, resulting in injuries from shattered glass.

He and one of the victims were treated at Hartford Hospital for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
