Chief Medical Examiner’s office faces accreditation deadline

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Governor Dannel Malloy’s executive order could take effect this Sunday.

The state’s Chief Medical Examiner is now announcing the budget impasse has put his office’s bid to regain full accreditation in limbo.

They are now facing a deadline for Wednesday, September 27th to deal with a long list of issues, including a lack of staff.
