Waterbury man arrested while attempting to reclaim bag of cocaine from Shelton Police

SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Waterbury man was arrested by Shelton Police after officials say he attempted to reclaim a bag containing cocaine from them.

Police say Davie McMillian, 23, was involved in an incident in Shelton on Monday and left a bag behind at the scene. A caller informed police that the bag appeared to have drugs in it.

Police retrieved the bag which they say contained a moderate amount of crack cocaine.

A short time later, McMillian arrived at the Shelton Police Department to retrieve the bag. Police say he was with a female who had a full no contact protective order against McMillian.

McMillian identified all items in the bag and was advised that he would be placed under arrest. He was charged with Illegal Possession of Narcotics and Violation of a Protective Order.

McMillian was placed on a total of $11,000 bond and appeared in court on Tuesday.
