1 injured after crashing car into pond in Ellington

ELLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH)– One person was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a pond in Ellington on Friday morning.

East Windsor Fire Dispatch tells News 8 that a car went into a hold pond on a farm on Frog Hollow Road on the East Windsor/Ellington town line. It appears that the driver also hit a pole before crashing into the pond.

One person was hurt and taken to Hartford Hospital via Life Star. The extent of their injures is unknown at this time.

East Windsor Police say the accident remains under investigation in the area of Clark Road and Chamberlain Road in East Windsor and in Broad Brook and Frog Hollow Road in Ellington.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area as the roads are closed for investigation.
