Crews investigating Oxford house fire

OXFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Fire crews responded to calls of a house fire on 12 Church View Road in Oxford early Saturday morning.

Fire crews received a call about the fire at approximately 2:13 a.m. When they arrived on scene, they found the second floor completely engulfed by flames. It took crews 30 minutes to get the fire under control.

According to crews, there were four children and one adult in the house at the time of the fire. They all escaped safely.

At this time a cause has yet to be determined. In addition to fire crews, Connecticut State Police responded to the scene as a precautionary measure.
