Connecticut country music station reacts to Las Vegas concert shooting

(WTNH) — The massacre in Las Vegas on Sunday night took place at a country music festival, which has devastated music lovers.

Connecticut is filled with country music fans, and the state even has a country music radio station.

News 8 spoke with some at the station to learn how they are reacting to this tragedy.

“I felt sick instantly,” explained Cory Myers of Country 92.5. “Of course you always question why would someone do this? Who would do this? Not that there is ever a good reason as to why, but they are just people enjoying a concert, enjoying music. Just horrific.”

“Ironically, it’s the same concerts that people need to forget about things in life,” said Damon Scott.

At least 58 people have been confirmed dead with hundreds more wounded from the shooting.
