New Britain joins opioid lawsuit against drug companies

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — The City of New Britain is now joining a lawsuit against drug companies that make and distribute opioids.

The city says it wants to recoup costs imposed on the city’s social and human services budgets.

Last year, 35 people died from overdoses.
