Congress delays vote on silencers following Vegas shooting

(WTNH) — Congress is delaying a vote on silencers in the wake of the shooting.

Connecticut Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy gave powerful stances on Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

“What is unacceptable in the wake of the most deadly mass shooting in the history of your country is for this utter silence, this unintentional complicity from Congress to continue,” said Sen. Murphy.

“We have it in our power to save lives. It’s that simple. And there is no more basic responsibility.”
