STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A Bridgeport man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a co-worker’s home and stabbing her boyfriend in Stratford on Monday.

Police say 22-year-old Juan Santiago arrived unannounced at his co-worker’s home on Hollister Street for an unknown reason. However, when he was not invited inside, he eventually climbed through a bedroom window of the residence.

Police say the female co-worker and her boyfriend confronted Santiago, who was armed with a knife. Santiago then stabbed the boyfriend and hit the woman before fleeing the area on his bicycle.

Police were able to find Santiago and the knife he used in the assault. He was then arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, assault, disorderly conduct and home invasion.

The male victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for non-life threatening stab wounds to his torso and hand.

Santiago was held on a $500,000 bond.
