Study finds CT’s largest cities growing at slow rate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut’s largest cities are growing at an exceptionally slow rate.

According to a new study from WalletHub, all five cities rank near the bottom when it comes to growth.

Compared to the other 249 medium-sized U.S. cities, Stamford ranked 158th while Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven were all in the 220’s.

Waterbury is near the bottom at 244th.

The study looked at overall population growth, jobs and the economy.
