‘Cops and Ballers’ basketball tournament held in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The second-annual ‘Cops and Ballers’ basketball tournament took place on Wednesday night in New Haven.

Teams from the police department and U.S. Attorney’s Office took on other teams from the community. The event at Goffe Street Park is meant to bring law enforcement and the community together for a positive experience.

In addition to basketball, there were also arts and crafts, and food vendors.

The event celebrates National Community Policing Week, which is aimed at encouraging a working partnership with law enforcement and their communities.
