Milford Police dog gets new ballistic vest

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Thanks to a non-profit group, one K9 officer will be extra safe while protecting the community.

The Milford Police Department’s K9, Mack, has a brand new ballistic vest.

It will protect him from bullets and knives.

The 2.5-year-old German Shepherd graduated from State Police K9 training last year.

He is certified in evidence recovery, tracking, searching buildings and more.
