CSCU to help students from Puerto Rico, University of Virgin Islands

On campus at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven.

(WTNH)– The Connecticut State University System is reaching out to students impacted by Hurricane Maria.

Under a new plan, students from the University of Puerto Rico and the University of the Virgin Islands will be able to attend school in Connecticut for the instate tuition rate.

The policy includes all four CSCU universities, in addition to a dozen community colleges.

Many of those students in the Caribbean have had their studies disrupted by the major storms and damage to their schools.
