Elementary school students walk for Mothers Against Drunk Driving

EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)–Some elementary school students in East Haven are helping victims of drunk and drugged driving. Every class at Ferrara Elementary School has been walking a lap around the track during recess every day this week.

All classes came together with the mayor this afternoon for a lap. The money the Walk-a-thon raises will go to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Last year, the school raised $1,100. So far this week, they’ve taken in $800.
