Meriden man charged with sexually assaulting young child

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH)— A Meriden man is now behind bars Friday after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Police say 46-year-old Scott Thieringer is charged with first degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. According to the Record Journal, his victim was only 4-years-old.

The paper reports that Theiringer was identified in a video with the victim from December of 2015.

Thieringer is being held on a $250,00 bond. He is due back in court on October 17th.
