GROTON, Conn. (WTNH)– Groton Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in Wednesday night’s violent home invasion and assault.

Police say just before 5 p.m. Thursday, the teen was taken into custody without incident. Police are not identifying him because he is a minor. The teen was charged with Home Invasion, Robbery, Assault, and Larceny.

The arrest stems from the home invasion that happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, at 91 Buddington Road. Police received a report of two masked men dressed in dark clothing who had entered the home holding a firearm and a baseball bat.
