2 injured in Sunday morning Plainfield crash

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials are investigating after two people were injured in a motor vehicle crash in Plainfield on Sunday morning.

According to police, a two vehicle crash took place on Putnam Road at its intersection with Blueberry Lane around 9:30 a.m.

Authorities say 55-year-old David Gilmore of Wauregan was traveling in a vehicle on Blueberry Lane when it was struck by another car while making a left turn. Officials say 31-year-old Mark O’Brien of Dayville was traveling on Putnam Road when his vehicle collided with Gilmore’s vehicle.

Both operators sustained injuries from the collision and were transported to hospitals for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
