NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH)– New Britain Police are investigating after several political campaign signs were stolen on Friday night.

Mayor of New Britain, Erin Stewart, took to her Facebook page to post a surveillance video of what appears to be two individuals stealing signs, including hers, off of a lawn area at about 10:17 p.m.

Under the video, Stewart wrote:

“Lots of signs missing from the east side today… looks like our cameras caught who did it. Anyone recognize them? Funny how only my signs and Alderman Rosado & Hargraves are stolen!”

Police say they are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals shown in the surveillance video. Anyone who recognizes them is urged to contact Lieutenant Portalatin at 860-82-03132.
