WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Watertown, home of the “Funky Stuff” Art Collective.

Connecticut artist, Cari Jansen left her nine to five job to open a creative arts studio for the community.

We have about 30 Connecticut artists here. Everything is handmade or up-cycled. Everything is done with a great deal of love. We have jewelry, gifts, fine art, to anything you can imagine. The artists here can do just about anything between us. We all work together.

“Funky Stuff” has created an ongoing art experience that you can be part of. It’s called “I’m a Little Square.” You can stop by and pick up a little square canvas, decorate it however you like, and the art pieces will be auctioned off on November 11th to benefit “Safe Haven.”

It’s located in Waterbury, and “Safe Haven” benefits domestic violence victims, helping them to get back on their feet. And it also helps their families.

Visit “Funky Stuff” to decorate your little square: 731 Main St, Watertown, CT 06795
