New York man charged with threatening company with “Las Vegas repeat”

(WTNH) — A New York City man is charged with threatening a Denver company with a “Las Vegas repeat.” Victor Casillas was arrested Tuesday evening by the FBI.

The 34-year-old allegedly sent several emails to the company with photos of weapons and threats to employees. Federal agents say he was trying to extort money from the company and was threatening to shoot employees if he wasn’t paid $100.

One email said, in all caps, “I’VE ARRIVED IN DENVER,” accompanied by a picture of two sub-machine guns.

Casillas is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday in Brooklyn Federal Court.
