Norwich Police investigating gas station robbery

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — Norwich Police are investigating after they say an armed robbery took place at a Sunoco gas station.

According to police, units responded just after 9:30 p.m. on Monday to the gas station located at 24 Town Street.

The clerk says the suspect entered the store and pointed an object at her while demanding money. Thinking the object was a gun, the clerk complied, handing over several hundred dollars before the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned man wearing a black sweat pant outfit with white socks and black shoes. He was wearing a black mask which concealed his face. The suspect is said to stand about 6′ tall and weigh around 200 pounds.
