State Police K-9 gets new protective vest

(WTNH) — Another Connecticut State Police K-9 is suiting up thanks to a donation.

Dexter has received a bullet and stab protective vest from the non-profit organization, “Vested Interest in K-9s.”

Dexter’s vest was sponsored by an anonymous donor.

He works with Trooper William Veras at Troop B in North Canaan.

He is trained in evidence recovery, building searches and tracking.
