Couple arrested on several drug charges in Groton

GROTON, Conn. (WTNH)– A Groton couple was arrested on several drug charges after police executed a search warrant at their home on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say at around 3 p.m., they executed a narcotics related search and seizure warrant at 9 Chase Oaks Court Unit #6 after an investigation into the sale of cocaine from the home.

During the search, police seized an amount of cocaine, anabolic steroids, marijuana, Xanax, amphetamines, and $796 in cash.

As a result of the investigation, the residents, 31-year-old Marshall Chiaraluce and 24-year-old Brandy Fanning, were arrested.

Chiaraluce was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana (less than ½ oz.) and possession of a controlled substance. Fanning was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Both were released on $5,000 bond and will appear in court on October 25th.
